"A Guide to Local Nightlife" is the second album of instrumental music from Junk Shop Star. The music - inspired by Eno, Popol Vuh, Harmonia, Can - was originally conceived as soundtracks to imaginary films. Some of the music - recorded over the past 5 years - has now appeared as incidental music for surf films, a DNA testing instructional video, and art exhibition documentaries.
